This Basket Stretcher is a little different, in that it breaks away for storage or transport, then configures as a normal stretcher when rejoined at site, for normal patient transport.
Basket Stretchers provide a more secure solution; their high sides and ends help keep your patient stable, especially when being transported in steep terrain, and they have special attachment points for winch, belay or helicopter rescues. 

There is a sturdy attachment points for ropes and carabiners. Multiple hand grips around the edge of the stretcher. There are four safety belts for securing patient.
